The old repair instinct — fix what you have — still stands. What changed is the object on the table. A fake is not a vintage find. It is a copy that borrowed someone else’s name. The sustainable move is not to keep that name alive. It is to retire the name and keep the cloth.

This site is also a sewing and home magazine: costumes, curtains, leftover silk, Saturday projects. The upcycle desk is the charity spine — second lives for seized or already-owned counterfeits, never a second identity.
